Prebys Foundation is excited to welcome Phuong Gines to the team as our new Business Operations Administrator.
Phuong brings nearly 10 years of experience with the County of San Diego, supporting multiple departments through business operations, administrative coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Throughout her career, she managed processes, coordinated programs, supported leadership, and helped maintain efficient operational systems. Her work included providing clear guidance and support to the public, helping community members navigate county programs and resources with care.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Phuong has built a career focused on making systems more accessible and effective. Growing up in a Vietnamese-speaking household, she often served as a translator for her mother while navigating government processes — experiences that shaped her desire to work in roles that center care, clarity, and community support.
“I’ve always believed that when people feel heard and supported, it can make a meaningful difference,” Phuong shared.
In addition to her operational work, Phuong led the County’s annual volunteer recognition program, coordinating a countywide event honoring volunteers for their service. The experience underscored the importance of collaboration and uplifting community members, core values of the Prebys Foundation.
“Phuong brings a thoughtful, service-oriented approach to everything she does,” said Nikki Phair, Director of Operations. “Her operational experience, attention to detail, and genuine care for people make her a wonderful addition to our team.”
Outside of work, Phuong enjoys cooking and spending time volunteering with her family in the community.
